Gorgeous, detailing locket in marked 9ct gold, handmade with deeply designed sides. The front has a black and white picture of an older woman under glass or crystal cover. The back panel has a script initial E in the center and opens to reveal a lock of hair artfully placed in a swirl under glass.
Total weight is 8.10g. Estimated to be from the late 1890s Victorian era. There is a very faint inscription on the inside back panel that looks like a watch repair marking from a jeweler, which points to this originally being a pocket watch before being converted to a mourning/memorial piece.
Comes with recent professional appraisal.
