Beautiful, dainty ring box made in French ivory (celluloid) with a push button clasp for secure closure. Inside is rich, dark burgundy/maroon velvet to softly hold a special ring and a silk lining in the lid.
This piece is in amazing condition but does have issues with patina on the metal hinge at the back (see photos). There has been no attempt to clean this.
Era: Approx 1920-1930
Markings: Lining has details for James Craig, Jeweler in Johnstone.
Metal: Hinge is metal and has green patina.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The hinge shows patina and age.
This item is used/vintage so it has been previously loved. As such, it will show the normal signs of wear in the form of scuffs to the surface or wearing of details. Any obvious issues will be expressly detailed but none of our jewellery will be in perfect showroom condition due to it being vintage of antique.
