A unique little treasure, this Witches Heart style brooch features a bar pin style with 22 small seed pearls set into 15ct yellow gold. A stunning little accessory for any outfit.
Original C-clasp and flat round hinge. Clasp is also marked.
Era: Victorian. Approx 1880-1890.
Markings: 15CT for 15k gold.
Stone: Seed Pearls varying in size from less than a millimetre to 2.71mm. Colours vary from white to silvery grey with one pearl appearing more pinkish and looks to be missing the outer layer of nacre, making it duller than the others.
Metal: 15ct yellow gold on the brooch. Brooch pin is not gold and neither is the jump ring on the top.
Size: Measures approx 1.74 inches long on the razor edge bar pin section. Heart centre measures 16.4mm or 0.65 inches wide by 21.7mm or 0.85 inches tall.
Condition: There are some condition notes to be aware of. One pearl is missing the outer nacre making it appear darker and duller than the others. There are no missing pearls. Pin portion at the back is quite dark and not gold. Jump ring could be used to convert to a pendant easily - this is also not gold.
This item is used/antique so it has been previously loved. As such, it will show the normal signs of wear in the form of scuffs to the surface or wearing of details. Any obvious issues will be expressly detailed but none of our jewellery will be in perfect showroom condition due to it being vintage of antique.
