Vintage 18k White & Yellow Gold Blue & Green Spinel Ring
Gorgeous rectangular emerald cut synthetic blue green spinel set front and center with step cut style shoulders housing natural rose cut diamonds (one round brilliant cut replacement).
This ring is 18k white and yellow gold assembled from both cast and hand fabricated components. Spinel is set in a yellow gold half bezel with white gold accents. The shoulders are bead set in white gold with six diamonds and a mill-grained finish.
Current ring size is an 8 but sizable by a jeweler. Total weight of ring is 3.8g.
Spinel measures approx. 12.10 x 7.81 x 5.47mm with an estimated weight of 4.84 carats. Color is medium light, moderately strong with a very strong bluish green color. Clarity grade is eye clean and make is good. Some of the facet edges are abraded and there is a scratch on the table of the stone. Setting is secure but stone does move in the half bezel and can create clicking noises when moved vigorously. Blue tones are strong in indoor lighting and stone comes off like a light topaz. Outdoor and other light creates deeper green to aqua colors. A very unique mermaid of a stone.
The diamonds are natural with 5 round rose cuts and 1 round brilliant replacement. Diamonds measure approx. 0.8-1.3mm with an estimated total weight of 0.03 carats. One of the diamonds is chipped.
