Antique Edwardian 18k Yellow Gold and 5 Stone Pink Ruby Ring
Although this lovely Edwardian ring resembles that of the Victorian period prior, the date stamp on the inside denotes a year of 1907 for the year. The rubies or pink sapphires are a mesmerizing, well matched colour of opaque deep pink, which is different than the darker red rubies of the time. Although slightly rounded in style, it pairs well with other rings for fantastic ring stacks or would make a lovely alternate wedding band for a pink lover who enjoys historic jewels.
Professionally tested and hallmarked as 18k British from Birmingham and date stamped for 1907. Claw set with five old mixed cut oval and cushion cut pink sapphires with good colour and clarity, deep pink "pale rubies". Estimated total gemstone weight is 0.55 points. Total weigh of 3.5 grams.
Condition notes: There are some scuffs to the surface of the stones and the gold band. Over 100 years old and previously loved, so this is of course natural wear.
Comes with recent gemologist report to confirm authenticity of the stones.
