This stunning sapphire halo ring is one of a kind with its mixed cut diamond halo and beautiful cornflower blue sapphire. It would make a stunning alternative engagement ring or gorgeous gift idea for a vintage jewelry lover.
The diamonds in the outside of the cluster or halo are a mixture of rose cut/old cut and single cut diamonds. Likely a series of replacements over the years. The centre sapphire has been reviewed by a gemologist as natural sapphire (an appraisal has not been done).
The setting is wonderfully detailed on the shoulders with open claw settings for the stones, allowing ample light to reflect through.
The band is not purity marked although electronically tested for 10k+ but does have a maker’s mark which appears to match for Allsopp Brothers and likely 1920s-1930s although they would have been around prior to this as well.
Total estimated diamond weight is 0.15 points.
Currently a size 6 and fully sizable by a professional jeweler. Total weight is 2.25g.
Comes with a recent gemologist appraisal with estimated value of $2,300CAD.
