Antique Victorian 18k 5 Stone Old Mine Cut Diamond Ring
Beautiful, rich 18k yellow gold with hand-etched detailing on the shoulders and 5 old mine cut diamonds showing large and wonky culets. Prongs on the diamonds have a flourish style giving an even deeper character and style to this ring.
The ring has a width of 5.7mm at the top and 2.3mm at the base, and a thickness of 2.0mm at the shoulders and 0.8mm at the base.
Ring is currently a size 7, and could be sized by a professional jeweler who would take into consideration where the hallmarks are so as not to disturb them. Hallmarks are for London,, England and approx 1896.
Diamonds are cushion style old mine cut natural diamonds measuring approx 3.5-4.5 x 1.6-2.2mm. The estimated weight of each diamond is 0.13-0.27 carats with a total weight of 0.98 carats. Colour grade: F-H. Clarity grade: VS2-I1. There are some chips and wear to the diamonds, to be expected with age. There are some visible inclusions in a couple diamonds (not carbon spots or peppering though).
