Uniquely designed and really neat, this antique travel jewelry box features a lift out top storage tray with forest green lining in black leather trim. The top opens to both sides and has ruffled forest green material which can hold additional pieces, although the elasticity of this material has loosened over its vast lifetime and use.
The lower portion inside of the box also features a forest green lining, which could use some gentle cleaning.
Measuring 10 inches long by 5 1/4 inches wide and 5 inches tall including the lock mechanism. There are loops which originally would have attached a handle but there is no longer a handle. Measurements for the top tray are 9 1/4 inches by 4 1/2 inches by 1 1/8 inches tall. There are two slots for rings and 6 square sections to hold other items.
The top of the black leather shows damage to the leather on the top, likely from prying or similar efforts. There is no key. One half of the lid is disconnected at the outer leather but stays connected to the box by the inner leather lining. Top closes but does not appear to lock.
This would be a display or presentation piece rather than an actual traveling unit due to age, wear and damage. Contents not included - box only.
