The yellow/gold thread may be actual gold but is untested so selling as assumed gold coloured thread.
The original tube hinge is present but the clasp was replaced with a more modern roll over clasp for security. In addition, there is a safety chain attached.

Markings: Marked for 9k gold and what looks to be FMRS.

Condition: The reverse of the brooch is darkened on the back panel. This has not been polished or attempted to be polished. There is a professional appraisal that accompanies this piece as well.
