Antique 14k Yellow Gold & Natural Blue Spinel Cocktail Statement Ring

This hand fabricated 14k yellow gold ring features an approx 5.07 carat rectangular cut natural spinel measuring approx 12 x 8.88 x 5.05mm. It is light blue to slightly grayish blue with an eye clean clarity and slight abrasions to the table facets. 

The spinel stone is in a four double-prong setting with leaf details on the shoulders. The ring width is 9.2mm at the shoulders, tapering to 3.4mm at the base and the thickness is 2.4mm tapering to 1.4mm. The shank is half domed and high polished. 

Ring is currently a size 6.5 but sizable by a jeweler, however, there is an inscription on the inside of the band for what looks to be Giana(?) and this inscription would be disturbed by sizing. Total weight of the ring is 4.5g.
