Antique trinket boxes can be so useful and classically beautiful and this sterling silver box is no different. It has squared scallop style edging around the top and engraved initials that appear to be HEH.
There are three stylized fleur d'lys feet creating a sturdy base. The bottom is a leather style paper cover over a metal base. This base moves when shaken but is sturdy.
The interior is a soft tan colored silk material with a cushion material underneath. There is no liner in the lid.
There are hallmarks for sterling silver, U for 1919 and partial birmingham anchor. There are several dents on the side and under the lid by the hinge but this does not impact the function of the box
Total weight is 92.70g. Measures 2.4 x 2.4 x 1.48 inches.
