Antique 14k Pearl and Hair Mourning Ring

These sought after mourning rings feature a locket of hair in the centre and a surround of luscious pearls which are said to represent tears. The detailed shoulders complete this piece with a three way split design and deep scroll and leaf etchings.

There are 14 round seed pearls, measuring approx 2.6mm each in a grayish-white to creamy-yellow coloring. Centre panel is a curved rectangular crystal covering braided blonde hair.

There are no hallmarks present but piece has been xray tested for 14k yellow gold. There is a repair to the rear of the piece and a sizing mark from a long ago size enlargement. Currently a size 8.75. Total weight is 3.30g.

Top centre width of ring measures 12mm and band tapers to 1.9mm.
