Antique 10k Miniature Painted Portrait Pendant

This stunning little work of art is set in tested 10k yellow gold, custom made pendant. Originally designed as a brooch, this was converted at some point to a pendant and the brooch mechanism removed. Conversion uses non-precious metals, testing as a mixture of copper, zinc and brass.

Portrait depicts a lady behind a glass/crystal, in antique clothes and hair. Brooch would have likely been from the early to mid 1800s and later converted to pendant. Portrait has not been viewed outside of setting so unsure of material.

Piece measures 24.5 x 30.5mm. Total weight is 7.00g.

Although it appears to look like flowers in her hair, under close inspection, this looks to be missing paint. Reverse shows wear and previous areas where brooch would have been placed.
